Description: Panelists will engage in conversation about ways to make disability services more accessible to Black disabled communities. What are the benefits programs, community organizations, and untapped resources in

the community? What are the societal costs when individuals do not receive adequate support to develop their

full potential?

     

Attorneys and community-based advocates discuss vital issues that people with disabilities face in school and in public when trying to access services offered by state agencies. In addition, they provide specific strategies that are important to navigating the systems.
